Here is a list of ideas that I can teach to others in my community:

• How to set up an email account
• How to conduct a resume
• How to set up a myspace account
• How to apply to a community college
• What to wear and how to feel professional at an interview
• What kind of nutrition you should have and why
• How to do yoga

The list of ideas above are items that I wish someone had taught to me at a young age.  I will think about these ideas for a few days, complete some research and come up with a decision.

As I discussed in the report about the technology that I tried, I wasn’t very impressed.  I first have to say that I have had no previous experience with using a tool such as Microsoft Excel.  I think the most difficult item of this assignment is trying to find a source that you feel comfortable using and then trying to figure out how to use it.  With Micrsoft Excel I went on-line to complete some research about the database and also used the pamphlet that came with the microsoft.  It seemed as though the material was more about trying to sale merchandise then it was trying to help the consumer navigate the system.

I won’t be using this source for any further financial analysis.  I am satisfied with the paper and pen method that my husband and I use.  I am glad that I learned from this assignment and now I know what type of resources are there to help you organize finances.  I am also excited about fulfilling this life long goal.  Reading and learning more about marathon runners motivated me to push myself harder each and every day and to keep this goal in sight.

So I have been working on this project for about 6 hours and am tired.  Actually my body aches from sitting too long.  I have completed the work for week 7 and hope to see success next week.  The research that I completed was extremely interesting and I learned so much.  The most difficult part about this project is completing the spread sheet for financial analysis.  I have never worked with excel spread sheet before so I hope that I completed this part of the assignment correctly.  At times throughout my writing I felt like I was repeating myself in different posts.  I am anxious to continue my research and find how others have been inspired to reach for their dreams.

Man do I have dreams…

1) LARGE family…like 6 kids at least

2) to run a marathon before I am 30 years old

3) build my dream house with a HUGE kitchen

This activity should be lots of fun, I am looking forward to it!

I was surprisingly successful learning how to upload different images to my culture site project.  Once I learned how to creat pages and subpages I was able to navigate through the website .  The only difficult part about retrieving pictures is that they don’t all have copyright information.  I found some great pictures that I would have liked to include on my website but didn’t because I couldn’t find the copyright information. 

I have come to a point on this paper where I don’t know what to do next.  I am not understanding how to use the parent pages or order pages.  My friend is coming over tomorrow to help me with this assignment.  Writing the paper was the easy part, now I am trying to make it look nice.  It has been difficult for me to reach the amount of words required for this paper.  I am also not able to log onto the OSU Online Writing Lab site with the username and password.  I have a call out to technical support, I hope they can help me.

I am feeling a bit frusterated at the moment so I am going to take a break and return tomorrow and hope that I can get it figured out.
